Abstract
The flow of a power law fluid in a tube with a boundary of sinusoidal deformation in the axial coordinate is studied in detail. The solution for the stream function is obtained as a power series in terms of the amplitude of the deformation of the boundary e , the zeroth order solution corresponds to the case of flow in a smooth straight pipe of circular cross section. The effects of waviness of the boundary are evaluated and are depicted graphically. The streamlines are found to deform to a great extent as they approach the boundary of the tube and are parallel to the axis when they are considered near the axis of the tube. The amplitude of the deformation is found to influence the streamlines very much.
