Abstract

The solution for the flow of an incompressible viscous dusty gas, induced by two infinitely extended parallel plates when the lower plate is at rest and the upper plate begins to oscillate harmonically in its own plane, is obtained, It is found that (i) with the increase in the mass concentration both the velocities of the dusty gas and the particle decreases, (ii) the velocity of the dusty gas increases and that of the particle decreases with the increase in neta.
