Abstract

It has been found that amino acids can inhibit the chemiluminescent reaction of lucigenin, especially in the presence of CoII, and that the extent of inhibition is proportional to the concentration of the amino acids. Based on this principle, flow injection (FI) and LC methods have been developed to determine amino acids. The linear ranges for sixteen amino acids were determined in the FI system, and the retention times of eleven amino acids were investigated by LC, and a mixture of Asp, Val, Leu and Phe was analysed. The method is simple and rapid, with a time for one analysis of less than 10 min.
