Abstract

Persistent false lumen (FL) perfusion following TEVAR for chronic Type B aortic dissection (cTBAD) is predictive of aneurysmal degeneration and poor outcomes. Several methods exist that attempt to achieve false lumen thrombosis (e.g., coil embolization, Knickerbocker, candy-plug). In the following, we present a novel method to achieve FL thrombosis by excluding aneurysmal changes and diverting FL flow to a nearby branch vessel.
