Abstract
Abstract The flow distributions through the absorber tubes of a CPC collector are analysed for both E- W and N-S alignments of the collector. It is shown that the flow distribution is non-uniform in an E-W alignment, compared with a close approximation to a uniform distribution for the N-S alignment. However, both flow distributions are shown to be beneficial with respect to the collector's thermal performance.
