Abstract
A non-Darcy model for the momentum equation, along with the energy equation, are used to calculate the forced convection in a plane channel filled with a fluid-saturated porous medium. The channel walls are assumed to be finite in thickness. Conduction heat transfer inside the channel walls is also accounted and the full problem is treated as a conjugate heat transfer problem. Governing equations are simplified with reasonable approximations and solved analytically to get expressions for velocity, temperature, and heat transfer distributions inside the channel.
