Abstract

Laboratory flotation rate measurements were made on site using pulp generated in an operating plant. The purpose of the measurements was to design an optimized flotation circuit to improve the plant performance. The laboratory tests, which included a locked cycle test, indicated that substantial improvements in the plant circuit were possible. There was excellent agreement between the numerically simulated and the experimentally simulated material balances.
