Abstract

THE Parc National Albert in the Belgian Congo is one of the earliest and largest Nature reserves in the, world, and as such, not the least important aspect on its utilization, as an instrument for increasing knowledge of wild life and the technique of its preservation, is an adequate survey of the flora and fauna which the area supports. The two substantial volumes which Prof. Walter Robyns has produced constitute a first instalment in the account of the Spermaphyta.
