Abstract

The headspace volatile compounds of the flowers of Petitia domingensis Jacq. were analyzed by solid phase microextraction coupled with capillary gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. A total of 16 compounds were identified, representing 100 % of the total composition. The major components were β-caryophyllene (35.7 %), 4-methylanisol (18.0 %) and α-pinene (12.5 %).
