Abstract
Resumo Este estudo apresenta o tratamento florístico da família Styracaceae nas formações de canga da Serra dos Carajás, no estado do Pará, com descrições detalhadas das espécies, ilustrações e comentários morfológicos. Foram registradas duas espécies de Styrax: S. griseus e S. pohlii. Styrax griseus foi descrito com base em material coletado na Serra dos Carajás, mas não é endêmico da área. Styrax pohlii é amplamente distribuído na porção norte da América do Sul.
