Abstract

The article has studied several water-soluble polymers as flocculants under conditions of purifying natural turbid waters and suspensions of bentonite. A polymer containing carboxylic and amide groups turned out to be the most effective flocculant. We have investigated a relationship between the structure of polymers and their efficiency in the course of water-treatment processes.
