Abstract
EOLE is a drone flight demonstrator planned for flight tests at the Guiana Space Center (CSG) in 2019 in the frame of the H2020 ALTAIR project. The operational concepts put in place ensure a correct flight safety based on the principles described in the French space operations act (LOS).EOLE is equipped with three localization means: An Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) transponder and two GNSS based means (standalone configuration and linked with an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)).Its neutralization system, when activated by the pilot or the flight safety officer, triggers the opening of a parachute and a simultaneous engine switch-off.Flight safety is ensured by a single flight safety officer equipped with a specifically designed console which synthetizes both the telemetry and localization components of the drone.
