Abstract

The flight activity, based on collections from humans, of Hippelates Pusio eye gnats was measured under varying field conditions. Thresholds for flight were 17°C, 0.25 mm Hg vapor pressure deficit (VPD), 5.38 milliphots (5 ft-c) of light and wind velocity below 67 m/min. Graphs are presented for flight activity at various values of temperature, light, VPD, and wind velocity.
