Abstract

This paper presents results of an investigation conducted to study the fatigue strength of steel fiber-reinforced concrete (SFRC), and also implements the concepts of probabilistic analysis to study the fatigue characteristics of SFRC. The 2-parameter Weibull distribution is examined to describe the fatigue behavior of SFRC. A method of obtaining the distribution parameters from the stress level S and number of loading cycles N (S/N) relationship is discussed in detail. A summary of mechanical models is given for numerically simulating the fatigue behavior of fiber-reinforced concrete.
