Abstract

A dummy flat section assumption is adopted as calculation mode of flexural capacity for steel-concrete box girder with corrugated steel webs, that was based on model test results and calculation data of finite element analysis on this type of composite beam , and the validity of this theoretical hypothesis is proved by the principle of minimum potential energy. Under the above theoretical hypothesis, the calculation of normal stress and flexural movement in mid-span also tallies with that of model test and 3-D finite element analysis perfectly.
