Abstract

In article number 2005925, Xian Huang and co-workers develop a multi-channel flexible optoelectronic fiber device that consists of flexible fibers, flexible microelectrode arrays, and a miniaturized wireless circuit. The combined configuration of optical fibers and flexible electronics allows optical stimulation in selective wavelengths guided by the optical fibers, while conducting distributed, high-throughput biopotential and chemical sensing using the flexible microelectrode arrays.
