Abstract

The increase in the penetration rate of renewable energy (RE) and the number of electric vehicles (EVs) has created problems for the balance of energy supply and demand of the power system. To solve this problem, it is necessary to evaluate the flexibility of the power system and optimize scheduling flexible resources to enhance the flexibility of the system. This paper proposes a power system flexibility optimization scheduling strategy considering RE and EVs. First, the models of RE and EVs charging load are established. Second, it analyzes the flexibility of the power system and proposes system flexibility evaluation indexes taking into account RE and EVs charging load. Finally, an optimal scheduling model of the power system is established. The improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is used to solve it. The optimization results show that the proposed strategy can effectively improve the flexibility of the power system.
