Abstract

To solve the load data lack problems when researching the fatigue life prediction of artillery steering machines, the flexible body model of an artillery steering gear was established using the recurdyn/fflex, based on the finite element flexible body theory. The complete artillery adjustment process of the steering gear was simulated and calculated, and the dynamic stress change of the gear under variable load conditions was obtained. Eight-level stress spectrum was compiled based on the rain flow counting method, which provides the load data basis for the subsequent reliability design and fatigue life research.
