Abstract

In this study, we developed and investigated a flexible LTE antenna for a wearable IoT device. This flexible antenna is double-sided, has geometric dimensions of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$40.0\times 12.0$</tex> mm and is placed inside a rubber wristband of the device worn on arm. The upper surface of the antenna is radiating, and the lower surface of the flexible antenna is shielding. The antenna has weak directional properties to reduce the energy of electromagnetic radiation in the direction of a human body. When the antenna is placed on a person's arm, its operating frequency range is 787.88 MHz - 863.64 MHz and 1717.84 MHz - 1880.352 MHz.
