Abstract

For improved competitiveness, logistics supply chain management in the fishery industry has become more and more important for modern fishery businesses, especially for the fishery major retailing corporations. Logistics supply chain management has become part of the senior management agenda in the fishery manufacturing and retailing industries to increase organizational effectiveness and achieve such organizational goals as improved customer value, better utilization of resources, and increased profitability. In this paper, the problem of fishery logistics supply chain coordination is studied. Multi-agent system, which can effectively process distributed large scale data, is developed to coordinate the logistics supply chain for the fishery major retailing corporation when its warehouses and cross-docks had been opened and operated in this paper. In the proposed multi-agent system, the architecture fulfilling different participant's individual requirements is designed to create efficient and responsive logistics supply chain coordination methods. The proposed multi-agent system can adaptively change over time when new organizations become involved and other disappear. The proposed multi-agent system increases the level of flexibility in the fishery supply chain and enables fishery supply chain members to be more responsive.
