Abstract

The high proportion of renewable energy connected to the grid will propose higher flexibility requirements for the power system. Since flexible resources have different adjustment rates, it is urgent to establish a method for calculating flexibility demands at different time scales. Therefore, this paper proposes a flexibility demand calculation model based on the net load decomposition using the CEEMDAN algorithm. First, the CEEMDAN algorithm and IIR filter are used to decompose the net load curve to obtain the fluctuating components of different frequencies, and then the flexibility demands at different time scales are calculated according to these fluctuating components.
