Abstract

Background: Wise pattern is one of the most common oncoplastic approaches to breast conserving surgery, particularly in large and ptotic breast. However, it results in long dermal flaps with a possible risk of skin necrosis or even wound dehiscence, most likely at the T-junction area. The aim of this study was to evaluate a modification of the Wise pattern incision in terms of T-junction protection.
