Abstract

AbstractThe mirid genus Frontimiris Carvalho is recorded from Australia for the first time, including the description of three new species: F. bentickensis sp. nov., F. monteithi sp. nov. and F. pandanaphilus sp. nov. The last of these species was discovered in the East Kimberley in association with the monocot species Pandanus spiralis. Other true bug species found in association with P. spiralis are documented, including dry season aggregations of Pachygrontha austrina Kirkaldy (Pachygronthidae) and Oncocoris griseus McDonald (Pentatomidae).
