Abstract
The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of 577nm (SPTL-1P) and 585nm (SPTL-1) flashlamp dye laser on port-wine stains (PWS). We have treated forty patients of PWS using both 577nm and 585nm dye laser without any scarring, 577nm laser beam can destroy only the upper dermal vessels and in lesion which have vessels deeper in the dermis, less satisfactory results have occured.It appeared that the wavelength 585nm was prefered to 577nm because of its deeper penetration, Therefore 585nm flashlamp dye laser seems to be very useful in the treatment of deep located PWS.
