Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the efficiency of anger control programme which has been based on Cognitive-behavioural therapy for 15-18 years old adolescents. For this purpose “The State Trait Anger Scale” was applied over 148 tenth grade pupils who study in Nuri Erbak Super High Scool. The scale was developed by Spielberger and adapted to Turkish by Ozer. The State Trait Anger Scale consists of “trait of anger”, “anger-in”, “anger-out” and “controling of anger” subscales. As a result of the application of The State Trait Anger Scale 20 students who obtained the highest scores in the anger scale were chosen. Anger Control Programme was applied to the experimental group of students for 10 weeks.
