Abstract

Therapeutic observance is a crucial factor in the management of chronic disease, particularly in coronary heart disease (CHD) after an acute coronary syndrome (ACS). However, studies in developed countries indicate that only 50% of patients fully comply and only 21% of CHD patients take all prescribed drugs [1]. Although non-observance to treatment involves a complex web of factors related to patient psychology, healthcare systems, socio-economic conditions and therapeutic constraints, mitigation measures are possible.
