Abstract

Amblyopic patients have a constellation of visual function deficits including reduced visual acuity and contrast sensitivity, abnormal stereopsis, and increased fixation instability of fellow and amblyopic eye. The fixation instability arises from presence of nystagmus and altered physiologic fixation eye movements (FEMs). The purpose of the study is to examine the effects of presence of nystagmus on binocular and monocular functions of the fellow and amblyopic eye.
