Abstract

The work discusses the mechanism of fixing vanadium and nickel compounds on mixed magnesium-aluminium oxide obtained from respective hydrotalcite. Using the diffuse reflectance of UV-Vis spectroscopy, it has been demonstrated that nickel is fixed on a mixed oxide in the form of surface compounds due to the isomorphic substitution of magnesium in the structure of the mixed oxide. Vanadium is fixed on the mixed oxide in the form of inactive in cracking surface compound of the Mg-V-Ox type.
