Abstract
Described and figured are Euschoengastoides sloonmi off Neotonma lepida, Nevada; Pseudoschoengastia aeci off Neotoma lepida, Nevada; Trombicula sprocssi off Pipistrellus hesperus, Arizona; Trombicula univari off Pipistrellus hesperus, Arizona; and Trombicula veanda off Neotoma lepida, Nevada. Other host and locality records from Arizona and California are included. In material received for identification from Dr. Dorald M. Allred, Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, and Mr. Stephen P. Cross, University of Arizona, Tucson, were five new species of chiggers which are described and figured below. Dr. Richard B. Loomis, Califoria State College, Long Beach, California, supplied additional series of two of the species. Euschoengastoides sloomi sp. n.
