Abstract

As companies transition from traditional digital asset management (DAM) platforms to modern DAM platforms, it is essential to know what differentiates these technologies. Today’s platforms go beyond the traditional management of assets, that is, storage and organisation. Whether companies are looking to implement, expand or update their DAM system, they must do the research and be aware of the latest capabilities. This paper discusses how modern DAM systems have not only adapted to the ever-evolving needs of customers to deliver a rich media experience across a variety of devices and channels but also take into consideration their future needs as well. The paper also explores about how modern DAM systems include a vast amount of functionalities such as automated optimisations of images and videos, workflow automations through artificial intelligence, embeddable widgets extending DAM capabilities and integrations with other applications in their technology stack.
