Abstract

Debriefing is the most important part of the simulation process; yet, it remains highly unstructured. Student-led discussions are encouraged with the facilitator serving as a guide for best practices in nursing. Five fast fixes that structure debriefing are described in this article: (a) setting an agenda, (b) video debriefing, (c) think–pair–share, (d) plus delta, and (e) reflective journals. These five fast fixes allow the learners to actively participate in the simulation debriefing process.
