Abstract

Fifth anniversary celebrations marked the past year at the journal. Editor-in-Chief Theresa Kueckmann reflects on these and lays out plans for the year to come. Speakers and session chairs of the First ACES & GDCh Symposium. Mobile is trending more than ever. A brand new app combines the existing apps for individual journals such as Angewandte Chemie together with Asian Journal of Organic Chemistry and all other ACES and ChemPubSoc Europe journals to give you convenient access to several journals in one place. The app is available for iOS and Android. We will soon cut off content feeds to the individual journal apps, so get the new family app now and enjoy the added features! The family app highlights a group of journals that work together in many other ways as well. For example, if a manuscript is better suited to the scope of a different journal in the family, the author is offered the option of a quick and easy transfer. When the author agrees, all manuscript information, including available referee reports, are moved to the new journal, in many cases allowing direct acceptance. Check out the clever picture for more information! In this dynamic environment, with societies backing the journal and associated symposia and awards, and with sister journals and a wider family that continues to grow and thrive, we are looking forward to a wonderful 2018 and to the next five years of the journal! We do hope you will join us as a reader, author, or referee!
