Abstract

Clatterbridge Hospital in the Wirral, where Bernie Wilson qualified in 1985, is today one of the largest networked cancer centres in the UK. Ms Wilson helped develop hospital and home-based chemotherapy services across Merseyside and Cheshire, and now leads a project to offer people a choice of where they receive therapy. Ruth Williams spoke to the chemotherapy nurse specialist and lead chemotherapy nurse for Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust
