Abstract

Purpose: Repeated treatment with intra-articular corticosteroid is often used to manage recurrent osteoarthritis (OA) symptoms. Triamcinolone acetonide extended-release (TA-ER) is an intra-articular injection approved for the treatment of pain in patients with knee OA. We conducted a Phase 3b, single-arm, open-label study and assessed safety and exploratory efficacy endpoints in patients with knee OA treated with repeat administration of TA-ER (NCT03046446). This analysis assessed the clinical benefit of treatment based on patient mobility defined as numbers of steps per day.
