Abstract

A fundamental problem in control system design is the ability to synthesize controllers that achieve robust stability and robust performance. For norm bounded uncertainty, formulations have been suggested that provide elegant characterizations and constructive methods of solution. In this paper we exploit the formulation of stability provided by the finite inclusions theorem (FIT), to generate controller synthesis tools for robust performance. These are particularly suited for systems with parameter uncertainty in their transfer function descriptions. >
