Abstract

AbstractMany patients need to be put under surgery to correct problems related to stress urinary incontinence, and there are many surgical techniques which have been used to resolve these hard problems until the moment, problems which affect the woman's quality of life. Many urologists and gynaecologists recognize themselves that this problem is an excellent indicator that any of these surgical techniques are satisfactory at all, although many times surgical intervention is necessary.The physical therapy for the pelvic floor is able to complement effectively the surgical techniques to improve the results in the stress urinary incontinence in the medium and long term. The creation of net works composed by all the professionals related to the diagnosis and treatment of stress urinary incontinence and other problems of the pelvic floor (urologists, gynaecologists, coloproctologists, physiotherapists, nurses), would be very positive to the patient affective by those problems in order to recive the best sanitary attention and the best results.
