Abstract

We report the studies of effects of high Jc on fishtail hysteresis loops of highly textured YBa 2Cu 3O 7 prepared by modified melt-textured growth (MMTG) method. It is found that: 1. The fishtail persists at least to T=20 K; 2. The M(B) bumps are shifted to higher fields with decreasing temperature; 3. The bumps are shifted to higher fields for MMTG sample compared to single crystal YBa 2Cu 3O 7; 4. Transport Jc does not show fishtail effect in the Jc(B) curve.
