Abstract

A 72-year-old healthy man underwent a screening colonoscopy that revealed multiple diverticula in the ascending colon. One diverticulum contained stool with a protruding nylon thread-like particle (Figure A). On removal, the thread-like piece was embedded in a piece of stool (Figure B). The nylon thread-like particle was retrieved through the endoscopic channel and revealed to be a 2-cm fish bone (Figure C). The diverticulum was then inspected, and no mucosal injury was observed (Figure D). The patient was asymptomatic, and no treatment was required.
