Abstract

AbstractThis is the first official report of the pistachio pest Eurytoma plotnikovi in France. Twenty adults were identified after they emerged from a sample collected in South‐Eastern France. A brief description is provided, along with biological, geographical and economic data on the pest. This species should not be considered as a major concern for nut production in France so far, although this might evolve with the development of pistachio crops in this area.
