Abstract

The present note is on secondary fungal infection in pods and flower buds of Senna alata (L.) Roxb caused by Aspergillus niger and A. flavus from the Puducherry region, India. Aspergillus niger was isolated more frequently from affected pods and flowers than A. flavus. Senna alata is a medicinally important plant and this is the first report of on fungal infection on this species.
