Abstract
An epigean species of the genus Pseudophanias Raffray, 1890 (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Pselaphinae) was collected from Lake Holon, Tboli, South Cotabato City, Philippines in October 2019. This is the first record of the genus in the country and the fourth for the pselaphine tribe Tmesiphorini Jeannel, 1949. A species list and distribution of the genus worldwide is also presented. It is highly recommended to conduct more extensive coleopterological surveys in the area to record additional pselaphine species.
