Abstract
This article presents the first record of Rüppell’s Bat (Vansonia rueppellii) within Saudi Arabia, captured within Prince Mohammed bin Salman Royal Reserve in northwestern Saudi Arabia. The morphological and acoustic description is provided. The species has been confirmed by biometrics and genetic sequencing, increasing the number of bat species currently found within Saudi Arabia to 32, from 23 genera and 10 families.
