First person – Shivnarayan Dhuppar

Abstract

ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping early-career researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Shivnarayan Dhuppar is first author on ‘Investigating cell cycle-dependent gene expression in the context of nuclear architecture at a single-allele resolution’, published in JCS. Shivnarayan is a postdoc in the lab of Dr Aprotim Mazumder at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Hyderabad, India, where he likes to think ‘how does it work?’, with the ‘it’ being anything from the biology of a cell to its functions and the physics behind them.
