Abstract

ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping early-career researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Fabiola García Fernández is first author on ‘Modified chromosome structure caused by phosphomimetic H2A modulates the DNA damage response by increasing chromatin mobility in yeast’, published in JCS. Fabiola is a PhD student in the lab of Emmanuelle Fabre at Institut de recherche Saint-Louis, Université de Paris, France, investigating DNA damage repair and genome stability.
