Abstract

ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Biology Open, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Eimear Byrne is first author on ‘ An arch worth revisiting: a study on the feline humeral supracondylar foramen and its evolutionary significance’, published in BiO. Eimear is a veterinary surgeon in the lab of Sarah Boland at Highfield Veterinary Naas, Kildare, Ireland, investigating research avenues pertaining to veterinary anatomy – with allegiance to evolutionary biology – she has also qualified as a veterinary surgeon and has a keen interest in surgical anatomy.
