Abstract
The stakeholders in this healthcare system strive to continuously improve patient safety. However healthcare worker (HCW) influenza vaccination rates have historically remained low. HCW includes anyone employed by the hospital system or affiliates. Independent physicians and volunteers are excluded from rates but not from the required vaccine or mask. Despite efforts to increase HCW vaccination rates, this healthcare system achieved an average of 60% vaccination rate during the 2010-2011 Influenza season.
