Abstract
On 1 July 2010, the first AGU Board of Directors took office. The board is composed of the president, president‐elect, immediate past president, general secretary, international secretary, development board chair, six members elected by the Union membership, vice chair of the AGU Council, and the executive director. Two additional members may be nominated by the AGU president and approved by the board.
