Abstract

A 49-year-old white man presented with asymptomatic papulesofunknowndurationon thebilateralhelical rims.These lesions were discovered by his hairdresser 1 week prior to presentation. The patient denied pain, tenderness, or pruritus. His medical history was noncontributory, and he denied a history of gout. In addition, he denied a history of wrestling or other trauma, such as frequent use of headgear. Physical examination revealed four 1to 2-mm, skin-colored to yellowish, smooth-surfaced, firm, round papules on the free margin of both helices (Figure 1). A shave biopsy was performed on the lesion on the right helix (Figure 2 and Figure 3). What is your diagnosis?
