Abstract

Six experimental batches of magnesite powder were obtained for preparing magnesia products by firing caustic dust in a rotary furnace. To improve the sintering, chromite or titanomagnetite was added to the dust. The final conclusions on the optimum cycle for the production of dense magnesite powders from caustic dust will be made after we have obtained data on the stability in service of products made from these powders.
