Abstract

Patients receiving care for mental health when asked to complete a questionnaire that included whether they had access to guns could provide critical information to supporting suicide prevention efforts, according to new research in JAMA Health Forum. The Kaiser Permanente study was funded by its Office of Community Health as part of its Firearm Injury Prevention Program.
